I just thought I'd let everybody know that in about an hour my Grandma (Joyce) will undergo her second spinal surgery in 2 years. It's a two-part surgery that is really non-invasive, but still involves flipping her over during surgery. However, she's not a spring chicken (even though she acts like one most of the time) so the recovery might not be exactly what she's thinking it will be. Thanks for praying, I'll let you know how it goes!

Update: Grandma came through surgery very well- once they got started. She went in 2 hours after the original scheduled time (apparently they moved it 1 hour later without telling her, so she had to wait that much longer & then the surgeon was running behind). Anyway, the surgeon said he was very pleased with how smoothly everything went. She has had very little pain medicine, without needing much. She has even been up walking & has said she doesn't feel like she had back surgery! Our biggest prayer is that the second half of the surgery, where they flipped her over & cleaned out around some nerves, would work to relieve the pain she's been having down her legs.
