Stats & Struggles

Owen is 4 months old today already! He is by far daily amazing & surprising us, mainly with his size. Yesterday at his well-check he weighed 18lbs, 4oz (exactly Jackson at 1year!) which was in the 95% range and is 28" long (way off the chart).

Here is Jackson "holding" his baby brother, which we're not sure he'll ever be able to do on his own. Owen loves it!!
Owen first rolled over from back-to-tummy on Jan. 6th & ever since, there's no stopping him! One day I had him on his floor blanket in the living room, & when I came in to check on him, I couldn't find him! He had steam-rolled his way next to our chair where I couldn't see him. Here's the look on his face:

Owen is sleeping pretty well actually, only waking up once to eat, typically around 4 or 5am. Jackson, on the other hand, is a different story. Thus the reason for the "struggles" in the title. His surgery wrecked him at bedtime & nighttime sleeping. He's never been like this. This was the child that, since 15 mos of age, would go to bed wide awake & put himself to sleep without a fuss (unless he wasn't feeling well) and sleep all night long. Now he's a nightmare; crying, screaming, kicking. Forcing us to sit with him until he falls asleep only to wind up in our room a few hours later demanding to sleep in our bed. Then he starts the whole fit all over again. This is really wearing on me because it's typically just me home then. Anyway, please keep him (& me) in your prayers- it seems we've tried everything, especially the tactics that worked the first time. I guess I should be thankful I have one good sleeper, especially since it's the baby. Thanks!
