Stewards

I took Jackson to an Ear, Nose & Throat Dr. this morning (after exausting all other options) & the result is surgery to remove his adenoids and tonsils. My poor little boy has been sick off/on since August, all with sinus trouble. This past stretch has been quite long with no relief from the congestion for over a month. Basically, he's been sick the whole time with some good days thrown in and lots & lots of medication that isn't working anymore. The Dr. is very optimistic that this will not only relieve his sinus troubles, but it may even improve his eating and weight issues! He said that most kids who need these removed are underweight & after surgery they put on the pounds like crazy because they actually feel like eating & enjoy the taste of food not laced with mucous. Of course, I am nervous, but mainly excited! I will let you know the date of the surgery so you can pray, as soon as the scheduling lady calls me back. We're praying for a soon enough date that he'll be completely recovered by Christmas.
