I just thought I'd let everyone know that Jackson is doing okay. We covet your prayers in a different direction now. Mainly for separation anxiety from Matt. He's been with Matt constantly ever since the surgery & last night Matt had to go back to work, which didn't bode well with Jackson AT ALL. He became a child I've never seen before. Kicking & thrashing around screaming in his bed, fighting the urge to throw up. Finally I was able to calm him down & he had to sleep with me. Thankfully Owen was a very patient baby happily waiting to eat for over an hour before I could break away from Jackson. My mom helped out a lot by staying with me last night. Matt has three more nights of work to go & I can't imagine doing this every night. He's a much happier kiddo today so far, not minding that Daddy's not around. I've also stopped giving him the tylenol w/codeine & the regular tylenol seems to be working okay. I know some people have mentioned that the codeine can alter a child's mood.
Thanks for the prayers. Jackson still doesn't feel the best & complains of his mouth hurting (he means his throat). It definitely hurts worse when he cries, so we're obviously trying to avoid that. I'm ready for my boy to get back to normal. Hopefully soon!
