Our New Little Man Has Arrived
Today at 8:07 am Owen Matthew Steward entered this world. A c-section was done with no complications and Kira is recovering slowly. Owen was 10 lbs 5 ounces and 22 3/4 inches long. It turned out to be a blessing that a c-section was done because there was 2 knots in the umbilical cord. The knots weren't tight but if a regular delivery was done there could have been some serious complications. Jackson has been great with Owen and is very excited about being a big brother, but is having a hard time with the lack of time with Mommy, especially at bedtime. Hopefully with prayers and more time with Mommy and Daddy tomorrow he will be better. Oh, and just for info, this is Matt doing the post.
I'm a bit biased, but Owen's absolutely adorable. It's like reliving Matthew's birth, he's just so mellow and cuddly with the cutest deep "voice".
I'm praising God for his safe delivery and the peace that Kira had in letting go of her dream to have him naturally. He's an answer to many, MANY prayers. Thank you Father!

10 lbs 5 oz?!?! Holy cow girl, it's no wonder you were sooo ready to have him out of there. Way to go! Can't wait to meet him. Hope you feel okay.
