A Time to... Brag

Okay, so I don't do this too often- but I'm not bragging on myself, so I'm hoping that makes it okay. I'm bragging on the best guy in the world who I am lucky enough to call my husband. He has worked lots & lots lately with the normal shifts, plus overtime shifts plus lots of court (ahh, the added joys of the job). BUT, the bragging comes in the fact that on top of that he's been Super Dad & Super Spouse! Around oh, 6 weeks of this pregnancy I became tired with a capital 'T' & even the most mundane of tasks have become exausting. Especially with the brief period in which I was told to 'take it easy'- those of you close to us know why.
So, anyway- on top of the regular stuff he does, he's been cooking, cleaning, taking care of the pets, doing dishes (my #1 most hated chore), cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry and everything imaginable with Jackson. Feeding, playing, bathing, etc.... (Jackson's lovin' every minute of it!). (Now- I must give myself a tad bit of credit because my husband still sleeps 8 hours during the day due to his night schedule). BUT- I haven't even gotten to the best part... he's done it all WITHOUT me asking him. Yes, seriously- not once. I come home from giving a massage & smell dinner cooking, with the day's dishes drying in the drying rack and laundry running upstairs. I mean this is something wonderful- and I just thought I'd brag on him to the world just because I'm so gosh darn happy about it & so absolutely lucky to be with him. He's taking care of us out of the goodness of his heart and for the goodness of our baby. God has truly blessed me. That's all- I'll stop now, I'm sure he's thoroughly embarrassed. Sorry babe!
1/31/08 Update: This morning I woke up to realize that I'd slept in (Matt got up w/Jackson) and when I came downstairs, coffee cake was waiting for me!!

On a side note- in case you are wondering about the pregnancy. Things are going alright, other than the extreme tiredness. But, I have still not had one since ounce of morning sickness which is another amazing, wonderful gift from the Lord almighty! (For those of you who weren't around the first time, I lost 23lbs after I became pregnant from being so sick.) We did hear/see the heartbeat on that first impromptu ultrasound & we see the Dr on the 7th for a regular 'ol check-up.

Thanks for thinkin' of us!
